Adult ADHD assessment in English
When attention and organisation make everyday life difficult
An adult ADHD assessment is a structured process for exploring difficulties with attention, organisation, impulsivity and everyday functioning. At Milevia, we look at your experiences over time and how they affect your work, home life and relationships. The process includes conversations with a psychologist, a structured diagnostic interview and assessment tools selected for your situation. We aim to help you understand your difficulties and identify suitable next steps.
Book an ADHD assessment
When might you consider an assessment?
You may wish to discuss an assessment if:
Staying focused is difficult, even when a task matters to you
Distractions repeatedly pull you away from what you are doing
You put things off despite wanting to get them done
Planning is difficult and you often work under last-minute pressure
You regularly lose things or forget appointments and deadlines
You feel overwhelmed or find it difficult to pause before reacting
You struggle to decide where to start or how to prioritise
Managing everyday responsibilities takes more effort than others may realise
These experiences do not establish a diagnosis on their own. An assessment gives you an opportunity to explore them in context, rather than assume a single explanation.
How the assessment works
An initial conversation
We discuss the difficulties you are experiencing, your background, work and relationships. Your psychologist considers whether an ADHD assessment is a suitable next step and explains the process.
Exploring childhood and adulthood
We look at your experiences at school, at home and in relationships, as well as your current responsibilities and daily routines.
The assessment uses the structured DIVA-5 interview, with additional tools selected where appropriate.
A written psychological report and recommendations
After the assessment, you receive a written psychological report setting out the findings and recommendations. You can share it with a psychiatrist or another professional involved in your care. Please confirm the report language and delivery arrangements with reception.
What an assessment can offer
Making sense of experiences that have been difficult to explain
Considering possible contributing factors and other explanations
Discussing appropriate psychological support, psychoeducation or consultation with a psychiatrist
Helping you explain your needs to people close to you and professionals involved in your care
Understanding your experiences with greater clarity and less self-blame
The purpose is to understand your situation more clearly. An assessment does not assume in advance that ADHD will be confirmed.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Have another question? Please contact reception — we will be happy to help.
Do I need previous reports or school records?
They are not required. If you have previous psychological or psychiatric reports, or school records, you can bring them. They may help us understand how your difficulties have developed over time.
Will I receive a written report?
Yes. The assessment includes a written psychological report with findings and recommendations. If you need a document for a particular purpose, please discuss this with us before booking.
Does an ADHD diagnosis mean I will need medication?
No. Medication is not an automatic outcome of an assessment. Any decision about medication is made with a psychiatrist. Other forms of support may also be considered.
Can I seek an assessment if I am doing well at work?
Yes. An assessment considers how you function across different areas of life and the effort involved, rather than your professional achievements alone.
Standard or Express — which option should I choose?
The options differ in how the appointment time is organised.
Express takes place in one appointment of up to 150 minutes. Please confirm the report language and delivery time with reception before booking.
Standard spreads the assessment across two appointments of 50 and 100 minutes. Please confirm the report delivery time with reception.
How long does the whole process take?
The appointment time depends on the option you choose. We explain the plan at the beginning, including how and when you will receive your report and whether a separate feedback consultation is needed.
Can I combine online and in-person appointments?
For a two-session assessment, a combination may be arranged with your psychologist. Contact reception to discuss your preferred format and the applicable fee.
