I support couples in finding understanding and adults in working through difficult experiences. I use solution-focused therapy and EMDR, focusing on strengths and ways forward.

Couples therapy in English
You do not have to face a relationship crisis on your own
Couples therapy offers regular time to look at what is happening between you, with support from a therapist. We begin by talking about what has brought you here, what everyday life is like and what each of you needs. The therapist does not decide who is right. Their role is to help you hear each other more clearly, understand the emotions behind your difficulties and consider what comes next — whether you want to rebuild the relationship or make a considered decision about change. Appointments in English are available at our Warsaw clinic and online.

What to expect
Book your first consultation
Choose an appointment in the online calendar. If you need help finding a suitable time, contact reception. We recommend a 60-minute session for your first meeting.
Tell us your story
During the first two or three meetings, we explore each person’s perspective and what feels most difficult in the relationship.
Agree on how to work together
You and your therapist discuss the focus of the work, how often to meet and whether sessions will take place at the clinic or online.
Review what is changing
You work on the issues that matter most to you, regularly returning to how the relationship is changing and what each of you needs next.

Who you can work with
Couples therapy at Milevia is provided by therapists who specialise in working with couples. Our work follows shared clinic standards and is supported by regular supervision.
I support couples in rebuilding closeness, communication and a sense of safety. I also work with adults experiencing emotional difficulties. Together, we explore how earlier experiences affect present relationships.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Have another question? Please contact reception — we will be happy to help.
Do we both need to attend the first session?
Usually, yes. Meeting together gives each of you a chance to share your perspective. Where helpful, your therapist may also suggest an individual conversation with each partner.
What if one of us is more willing to attend than the other?
This is common. At the beginning, we talk about each person’s expectations and concerns. Participation is voluntary; the first conversations can help you understand what working together might offer.
Will the therapist tell us whether to separate?
No. The therapist helps you understand what is happening, what each of you needs and the possible ways forward. Decisions about your relationship remain yours.
What if we argue during a session?
Strong feelings may arise when discussing difficult issues. The therapist helps keep the conversation within a supportive framework and helps you return to a calmer exchange.
Can we sometimes attend separately?
Your therapist may suggest individual sessions if they would support the work. Joint sessions remain the main setting for working on your relationship.
How long does couples therapy take?
There is no fixed number of sessions. Some couples need a shorter period of support, while others choose longer-term work, especially after a significant crisis.
Can therapy help if one of us is already considering separation?
It can offer space to understand your feelings and make a more considered decision about whether to work towards rebuilding the relationship or prepare for separation.
Can we combine online and in-person sessions?
Yes. You can discuss a combination of appointment formats with your therapist.
Start with one conversation
If things feel difficult between you, your first session can be a place to talk openly and explore what might help. You do not need to have all the answers before you begin.
